BITs
What is BITs?
Break Into Tech Successfully (BITs) is a technology-focused workforce readiness platform bridging the gap between tertiary education and the modern workforce across Africa.
BITs by Prémanni (Break Into Tech Successfully) is a technology-focused workforce readiness and opportunity platform designed to bridge the gap between tertiary education and the modern workforce.
BITs was created in response to a growing challenge facing students and young professionals across Ghana. While many graduates leave school with academic knowledge, they often lack practical industry exposure, technology awareness, digital readiness, career direction, and workforce preparedness.
At the same time, Artificial Intelligence, automation, cloud systems, digital infrastructure, and emerging technologies are rapidly reshaping industries worldwide.
BITs exists to help participants strategically prepare for this transformation.
## The Core Mission
There is a gap between tertiary education and the workforce.
BITs bridges that gap.
The program is designed to help students and early-stage professionals: • understand the modern digital economy • gain strategic exposure to technology • identify realistic pathways into tech • prepare for future workforce opportunities • connect with mentors, ecosystems, and opportunities
While BITs focuses on technology and digital transformation, its broader mission is to help prepare Africa's emerging generation for the future of work.
BITs is beginning in Ghana as its foundational launch market.
## RTB — Road to BITs
RTB (Road to BITs) is the official webinar and engagement series leading participants toward BITs Tech Fair.
The RTB series helps primarily students: • understand technology trends • explore pathways into tech • develop AI and digital economy awareness • prepare strategically for the future workforce • engage with the broader BITs vision before the main event
RTB functions as a preparation platform, educational series, awareness campaign, and engagement pipeline leading into BITs Tech Fair.
## BITs Tech Fair
BITs Tech Fair is the outward demonstration and flagship convergence event of the BITs program.
The fair brings together students, startups, companies, innovators, recruiters, creators, institutions, and ecosystem stakeholders.
The event serves as: • a technology exposure platform • a networking hub • a career acceleration environment • an innovation showcase • a collaboration platform • a bridge between talent and opportunity
Location: Accra, Ghana.
## Pathway Specialization
BITs recognizes that technology success is not one-dimensional.
Participants may pursue different outcomes depending on their goals, interests, skills, and opportunities.
The BITs pathway model includes: • Employment Pathway • Entrepreneurship Pathway • Education Pathway • Freelance & Skills Pathway • Innovation & Impact Pathway
This structure helps participants pursue focused and realistic directions within the technology ecosystem.
## AI & Strategic Readiness
Artificial Intelligence is accelerating the Fourth Industrial Revolution while laying the foundation for the Fifth Industrial Revolution.
BITs encourages students and young professionals to understand where opportunities exist across the modern AI stack:
1. Energy 2. Chips 3. Infrastructure 4. Models 5. Applications
The program prepares participants to think strategically about where they can position themselves within the future technology landscape.
## The Future Is Now
Africa is entering one of the most important technological moments in its history.
The future workforce will not be built only through degrees. It will be built through exposure, adaptability, digital readiness, strategic thinking, innovation, and access to opportunity.
BITs exists to help close the distance between potential and opportunity.
It exists to help students move from uncertainty to direction, from direction to execution, and from execution to meaningful participation in the digital economy.
As technology continues reshaping industries, careers, and societies, BITs seeks to ensure that African talent is not left behind — but empowered to compete, build, innovate, and lead.
